Hi, I’m Amanda. 39-year-old mom, writer, and lover of good food and luxury fashion. Life has taken me on a path full of deep love, loss, and growth, and I’m finally ready to share it all.

I’ve had five pregnancies and have four incredible kids. My first child was placed for adoption—a decision I made with love and lifelong impact. I was also adopted. This puts me in the rare position of having lived on both sides of the adoption story. That perspective gives me a unique voice I’ve never seen reflected anywhere else. It’s one of the big reasons I started this blog.

I also experienced an unimaginable loss—my parents, who were long-divorced, passed away just eight days apart. It was shocking, painful, and life-altering. Just months later, I gave birth to a baby, experiencing new life while still deep in grief. That contrast shaped me forever.

This blog is where I pour out the real, raw pieces of my journey—motherhood, adoption, grief, identity, healing, and growth. But it’s also where I share the joy: my obsession with fashion (especially luxury style on a mom’s budget), the comfort of great food, and the little things that help me feel like me in the chaos of everyday life.

My goal is to create a space where others—especially women walking complicated paths—can feel seen, understood, and inspired. I want this blog to be part healing, part style, part survival guide. Because if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that we’re allowed to hold joy and pain at the same time.

If you’re navigating adoption, motherhood, loss, or just trying to keep your sense of self alive through it all—welcome. You’re not alone here.
